We’re excited to share the first in a brand-new series of guided cycling routes videos designed to help more people explore Huddersfield confidently by bike.
The videos are being produced by the amazing team at Paradigm Creative, and are supported by West Yorkshire Combined Authority and Transpennine Route Upgrade, as part of our ongoing commitment to make active travel easier and more accessible for everyone.

A Visual Guide to Cycling in Huddersfield
Our new video series showcases safe, practical and beginner-friendly cycling routes across Huddersfield, ideal for anyone looking to travel more sustainably or discover new ways to get around town.
The first video, Huddersfield Railway Station to the Accu Stadium, takes you on a simple and direct route perfect for matchdays and everyday travel alike. You can watch it now on our new Guided Cycling Routes page.

Created in Response to Community Feedback
The idea for these videos came directly from feedback shared on our Walk Wheel Ride Huddersfield Commonplace site.
Many of you told us that better route information and clearer maps would make a real difference in helping you feel more confident cycling in and out of the town centre.
We listened, and this new video series is our way of responding to that need, providing visual, real-world guidance to help cyclists of all abilities find their way safely and easily.
This first video is just the start. Over the coming months, we’ll be adding more routes connecting key destinations across Huddersfield.

Have Your Say
We’d love to know what you think of the first video! Send your comments or suggestions to office@epiks.org.uk and help shape the next routes in the series.
You can also share your thoughts via the Walk Wheel Ride Huddersfield Commonplace platform, where our active travel survey has been extended until 13 November 2025.
Everyone who completes the survey will be entered into a prize draw to win an £850 folding bike!
