Inclusive cycling sessions with Streetbikes

Streetbikes is a charity on a mission: to get everyone riding a bike. Their fleet of machines has dozens of specially-adapted cycles, ranging from balance bikes to trikes, hand cycles, recumbents and tandems.

These are all available to try at twice-weekly mixed ability cycling sessions held at Spenborough Athletics Track, next to the Spen Valley Leisure Centre in Liversedge. Sessions are every Tuesday from 10.30 to 14.30 and every Saturday from 12.30 to 15.00.

Cost is £5 for 4 hours, including use of the bikes and helmets, with no booking required. Helpful volunteers are always on hand to make sure you get the most out of a session.

Streetbikes also have regular refurbished bike sales, where donated bikes are brought back to life by qualified mechanics and sold at affordable prices. The best way to find out about these is via Streetbikes’ Facebook page. Other activities include community rides, women-only cycling sessions and Learn to Ride events. Contact Streetbikes to find out when these are coming up and to book a place.
