Social Bike Rides Huddersfield

24 May 2025

Do you like to cycle but feel unsure about routes in and around Huddersfield?

Would you like to use your bike to commute into Huddersfield but cannot face tackling the ring road?

Do you want to meet more people who cycle and discuss potential routes?

If this sounds like you, then why not join EPIKS, Cycle Kirklees and other bike riders on Saturday 24th May to discover some routes in and out of Huddersfield using alternative and safer routes.

Equally, if you’re a route expert and have lots of knowledge you’d like to share (or just fancy meeting up for a social ride) then come and join Cycle Kirklees from 11am-3pm.

Meet at the EPIKS gazebo based on St George’s Square (in front of the railway station). We’ll suggest some of the routes we like and are keen to hear your ideas as well.

This event is run as part of a whole programmes of cycling activities run by EPIKS over the next coming months to enable more people to get out cycling more often. Testing routes to key destinations will help to ensure they are maintained and improved.

Please note that these are social rides designed for cyclists to meet up and explore routes in Huddersfield. Participants join at their own risk and EPIKS are not responsible for leading the rides.
