Guided Nature Walk Edgerton

From Huddersfield Railway Station your guides will take you on traffic free footpaths to Edgerton Cemetery, returning through Greenhead Park

The walk will be led by EPIKS Environmental Ranger, Gilly, who has a specialist knowledge of urban wild landscapes. At Edgerton cemetery we will learn of the history of Huddersfields first public park and how its design was influenced by its architects and founders; both in its building, monuments and landscape.

This walk is just under 3 miles and takes in a variety of terrain; town centre streets, side roads and footpaths. There are no steps on the route, however it does take in some moderately hilly side streets. The pace will be very steady, and stops will be frequent. It is suitable for those who like a slow pace and frequent opportunities to talk.
