Our Offers to You

What We Can Offer – Walk, Wheel, Ride Huddersfield
Environmental Projects in Kirklees (EPIKS) is delivering a range of free and low-cost activities as part of the Walk, Wheel, Ride campaign. Our goal is simple: to help more people walk, wheel and cycle for local journeys – making Huddersfield healthier, greener, and easier to get around.
We offer a variety of activities for businesses, organisations and community groups to support everyday active travel.
For Community Groups
We’re passionate about reaching local people where they are. That’s why we offer all our services free of charge to community groups across Huddersfield. Whether you’re a local club, residents’ association, or support organisation – we want to help your members feel confident and inspired to walk, wheel or cycle more.
We can provide:
- E-bike try-out sessions – Hands-on experiences to try e-bikes in a friendly, no-pressure setting.
- Cycle confidence training – For adults who want to build or refresh their skills.
- Route planning – Helping people find practical, safe and enjoyable routes for everyday journeys.
- Self-guided walking and cycling routes – Simple, accessible maps to explore local areas independently.
- Social walks and rides – Friendly group events to make active travel more fun and sociable.
- Community engagement – We listen to the barriers people face and work together to find solutions.

For Businesses and Employers
We work with businesses and organisations to promote active travel among staff and visitors. Supporting walking, wheeling and cycling can boost wellbeing, reduce carbon emissions, and even save your organisation money.
As part of the programme, we can offer:
- On-site roadshow events – Bring the energy to your workplace with e-bike try-outs, cycle training, route advice and social rides.
- Employee engagement – We’ll talk directly to your staff to identify challenges and co-create solutions via our Commonplace platform.
- Workplace travel planning support – Including advice on cycle parking, walking-friendly facilities, Cycle to Work schemes, and how to access funding.
We offer these services at low cost to businesses, and we’re happy to tailor the package to your needs.
