BBEST is a collaborative group of 21 schools in North Kirklees taking positive action to improve pupil’s lives. Streetbikes is a charity which holds regular inclusive cycling sessions at KAL Leisure in Spenbridge, using its own fleet of adapted and conventional cycles.
Recently BBEST and Streetbikes have begun collaborating to give local schoolchildren a taste of cycling in a safe, traffic-free environment. We caught up with them at one of the sessions and spoke to Streetbikes volunteers and BBEST staff about the project. We’re hoping that more of these sessions can be delivered to get lots more kids riding.
